Does anyone know how I can have Burnt Kicker L7 12" 2ohm repaired

I don't want to buy a new one, I want to fix this one. I have a burnt Kicker L7 12" 2ohm sub. The sub was left to me buy my brother who passed away and it has sentimental value. I brought it to a Kicker dealer he put the multimeter on it and each voice coil is reading 1 ohm resistance. All it does is buzz when hooked up. No bump at all. Hopefully that is an indication of what is wrong with the sub. Can someone please help me.

... but seriously, Id start by calling Kicker directly. I dont think they normally recone L7's, but maybe with your story they will.
