If so, what do you know about the "University Village' on campus apts? I am going there next year and was just told that I was chosen in the housing lottery for a 4 bedroom/4 bathroom apartment. But i have one week to send the deposit otherwise i lose my spot. And since im not living in Florida yet, i can't go to take a look at them first. So what is your opinion on these apts? Thanks.

4 br 4 bath in south fl who cares, rent out 2 or 3 rooms and live there for free, you can charge out of towners a mint for rent.
it's not a regular apartment, it's part of University housing. Meaning i can't rent out rooms myself, my lease is only for me, and 3 other people will have to sign leases too. I have no control over who moves in.

Man I would just try to get a single apartment for yourself if you can swing it, or try to room with someone you know.

I've spent alot of time hanging out at those 4 in 1 types of apartments and I've never met anyone who was happy living there when their other roommates were randomly chosen.

I lived with 4 other dudes for about a year once, was great but make sure you get some flip flops to shower in because there is gonna be mad jizz all over that thing.

Until hopefully one of you gets a GF who will clean that shit because she can't deal with the filth.

unfortunately rooming with someone I know is not an option now. I am starting law school next fall, and don't know anyone at all that goes to the same school, which is normal i guess since the freshman class only has about 250-300 students entirely. 1 bedroom would be no good for me, im a social person and i hate being alone, i already know i wouldn't be happy in a 1 bedroom. Plus it is wayyyy to expensive, i would be paying like 1200 a month + utilities in miami for a 1 bedroom, vs. paying 780 a month w/ utilities/cable/internet included and fully furnished.

4 bedrooms/4 bathrooms, which means I got my own private bathroom. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif Won't have to worry about flip flops //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

call the school...you will pay them 35k a year for tuition...they can help you. Or check their website for helpful links.
i want the lowdown from the students, not the school. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Some information you can only find out from students. Like at my college now, Umass, one of the dorms has private bathrooms and suite style living, which would sound amazing to anyone, and the school faculty thinks it is great. But it is widely known at my school that those dorms are terrible because they are very far away from the active parts of campus, and the people that live in the dorm largely consist of strange loner type people. And no one who just looked on the school's website would know any of that. I need to get some inside info from the students.

**** that's expensive. Try checking out facebook. I'm sure there is a group dedicated to those apartments.

I feel ya...at UF it was the same way. But law schools are different...they try to skip the BS. If you call them, they might even have a roomate matching service, and give you ideas of where typical law students live.
