Does anyone have the t/s parameters for 12" iDMax V3 Dual 2

I need the parameters, and also does anyone have suggestions on box size/freuqency? I will be giving it about 1200 RMS. Really shooting for SQ, since the ported box will already yield more SPL than a sealed box.

And yes, I searched around... But since the Image Dynamics website went down, good quality info is scarce :/

I did a lot of reading and research on the IDMax and found that they're not a big fan of more power than what's listed especially when going ported. (correct me if I'm wrong)

From what I've observed, people like to tune to ~25-28, but I've seen 30-32 as well. I read of a nice SQ install tuned to 20.

In terms of specs, here's what an ID Tech posted in SD back then:

Daily driver spl box IDmax 12 d2/3/4

Box volume = 2.97 cbft gross

port = 4" round X 7.64" long

This design is good for all music with a little more kick in the pants... \//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Thanks again for sellin me the sub, hope this helped!

I mean I am not gonna turn the gain way up, you think the 1200 will kill it? I am now thinking 2.3 cubes @ 27Hz. From my understanding, the more power you have, the smaller you want the box.

dont the ID Max's only have a 2" coil?
it's 2.5"

to quote imtjnotu:

"very picky when it comes to power...2.5" coil doesnt like to be overpowered much"

ill come back with a better response later, gotta hit up a graduation.

i just know that 2.5^3 is the recommended space requirement by eric from IDmax as well as other techs amongst other forum users

Yes, it's a 2.5" coil. On music, in many cases, they will take power just fine. Constantly varying amount of power and signal won't build as much heat as a tone, or the like. For reference, it's generally the same coil size as other drivers rated 500-700rms.

You dont know what your missing. ID subs look rather average on paper, but once you get them in they are fantastic.
Oh I know they sound good, but dont feel like frying one... Got 1200 watts to work with and wanted to port it for some extra spl.
