does a ported box need more power then sealed?

i have 2 re ses in a 2.0 cubic foot sealed box and i just ordered an aq 1200d amp it will give them 600x2 and one ohm, i was searching and looking and past posts and people say they could use more power or starve for power. but i never saw anything on a sealed box. is it just nothing to worry about?

sealed sometimes allows for more power, but never visa versa i dont think

other way around.. ported makes the sub more efficient therefor it can't hanlde as much power

just like what budahbuddy said...sealed will allow for more power. I just installed a single 12" RE SE in a 1.8 ported box running off 700watts rms. It seems to be doing ok. Other people have been running more power than that.
