Hey Guys,

I'm looking to upgrade my Full Range Digital 100w x 4 amp to 200w x 4 or greater. It seems like there are no options out there for this. I know Alpine has a PDX that does 150w x 4, but that's all I've found. Can anyone suggest an amp?

Thanks,

Rob

I run the pdx-f6 (150x4) and I think the birth sheet clamped them @185+ watts. Excellent sounding amp and I doubt you'll hear any difference with 15 extra watts

sundown makes a 200.4 (more like 250.4) lanzar opti has a 250x4 i believe. US amps makes a huge one, but i belive its like $800.

better off going to two amps.
So US amps 800.4 is 60Wx4 @ 4 ohms

Sundown sax - 200.4 is 210x4 at 4 ohms (tested) But they don't manufacture this amp anymore

Lanzar OptiHC 3004 is 4x150W RMS at 4 Ohms

I'm running 4 pairs of 3 ohm speakers in series. I'm worried about running them is parallel bc this is for a boat in lake havasu, where right now its 115 degrees.

If you mean full range class D, Zed Dreadnought does 225 X4 @ 4 ohm.
This looks like the right solution. Does anyone have any feedback about this amp? Even on the zedaudio website it only gets a 3.7 out of 5.0 review. $800 price tag less someone has it used

Not sure where those ratings came from. I would vouch for performance of this line of amps in general. I own a few and have a bunch more coming this week. Definitely not cheap, but I don't think there's anything on the market that'll do what this will in that size package.

Really you could simply give him a call if you have any concerns. His number is on the website and you'll usually catch someone there during business hours (your time, since he's Simi Valley)

You're not going to know until you test with a meter. Typically even carpeting a box as opposed to painting is going to lose a few tenths.

These are decent budget subs. The box design isn’t bad at 5 cubes for these, but I’d drop it down just a little and raise port tuning up to 32...
