That's just wierd. These people grew up with nothing, so they really don't need as much. Plus, if they make too much money then they will get all uppity and this will sour their relationships with their family back home.
You really need to think about what you are doing. There is nothing wrong with treating people in different situations differently.

Lately, when I have an Asian or Mexican server, I have been taking into consideration what that person would be making back home and then downsizing my tip accordingly. It works out well for me, and in this economy I think it's prudent.
Anyone else do this?

It doesn't matter really.. Depends on the sevice.

Like tonight.. err, last night, about 12 of us went to the Ale House.
