Yes I believe in God. I didnt use to though. I was in a bad accident in 96 and from then on I started to believe. I am not a very religous person at all. I dont go to church even though sometimes I think I should. I guess what I am trying to say is to the original thread starter is that you say if god was looking out for us would he let bad things happen to us in the first place. I answer with maybe he does things like this to give us non believers at the time a WAKE UP CALL! The day I got in my accident was the day I was going to pay for my girlfriends abortion. Thing was it wasnt even my child! Makes you think, it really does. Needless to say I didnt give her the money and we broke up over it. I made a wise decision. Just lost a sweet car over it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

that seems wrong...i never got to spend time with either of my grandparents on both sides cause they died before i could remember them or they died before i was born....but i wouldnt consider it positive that she died just because i had a hook up....know what i mean?...not that you probably meant it that way but its the way it came across...and just in case you did mean it that way...thats kind of sh*tty.
well i know it sounds cold but ever since my grampa died she was preparing to go be with him (shes a believer too) she hadeverything picked out for the funeral, all that good stuff. and she basically did all she needed in her life. i know its sad i mean shes been by my side for like all my life takin care of me. But now that she is with my grampa i think its better for her now than when she was alive, its wat shes been wanting. i guess i look at the GOOD that comes out of every tragedy... it also builds character. if all we had in life was hapiness, then we would all be pvssies and sheltered. we need these experiences in our lives to grow as a person as well as strengthen our "faith".

i have a night time thing i got to tho.

now that you put it that way it doesnt sound bad...i guess it was just the way it was written the first time that mad eit come across differently....but i can understand that because my wifes grandparents basically dies that way...2 days apart....her grandmother didnt even want to be alive anymore...all she wanted was to "go to heaven to be with her husband"....now thats some serious love right there.
yea... i tend to come across cold sometimes.. but thats the way i am. i give little to no respect to the dead.... theyre... dead lol. ill remember them, and mourn but "passed away" or "passed on" is not in my vocab.

word up yo. it takes true love and commitement to fell that way towards your significant other... rarely seen nowadays.

I believe in God. I believe God has a plan for us all. And as it has been said we all have free will, which is the reason for many of the problems in life. At some time or another we all have to make that decision for ourselves whether we believe or not. I believe due to things i've seen in my own life and experienced myself. I am definatly not one to force my beliefs on anyone so if you wish to discuss this with me feel free to send me a message. My screen names are below.

i believe in god.. but i dont go to church often.. but i know that SOME of the people that doo attend church non stop are the rich acholics that go out and party on the weekends and smoke and what not, and then wake up hung over to attend church to make themselfs look good..

or feel better about what they've done. i dont really like what the majority of the modern churches have become. There are still some smaller ones that i've attended that still follow the path. But they are becoming fewer and fewer as the greed of man increases and morality in the world go down the shitter.

x2

I havent been to church for close to 10 years and I dont plan on going to it later in life. But Ive been in a couple situations that I only believe GOD saved me from.

i personally believe in God and what kng says is true.

This "religion" has been turned into a marketing gimmick so freakin rich pieces of crap pastors get richer while they leech off of the avg joe on minimum wage in return for thier "salvation"

the original church wasnt all the bright lights, GIANT buildings gold lining, dress up in your sunday best (pshh) all that crap. YOU DONT NEED GIANT SCREENS IN YOUR CHURCH!!! NOR DO YOU NEED A FREAKIN CAMERA TEAM!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif :furious: the money can be spent elsewhere where it is needed: the people who need it.

the original church was based off of community, and caring for one another... when someone needed something anywhere anyone, the church would help out as much as possiblem, and having a personal relationship with God/Jesus.

unlike nowadays, the church WONT accept anyone outside of thier religion into thier group. i think MAn has made a mockery of the bible with all the stuff thats goin on nowadays in religion, and greatly strayed from what the church was originally meant to be.

okay im done.... for now.
God is what we make him to be,its not a commercial gimmick eveywhere, just here in the good ole USA - we like our god to be like McDonalds and Apple pie

we like our preachers to be millionares and live in gaudy houses

we like to film our time with god and place it on TV so our mega church can get some finacial benifit and try to make the ignorant fear us into beliveing our values are correct............Hypocracy,greed and lies..............

Bible thumping ignorant hypocrates

The truth is God is what you make him to be,he doesnt care how you believe in him as long as its your belief, thats the great thing about god's is easy like that...

Me myself,I believe what I wish to believe and its none of anyones busniness

so **** off you little slime dog and get off my back

oh man in biology when it came time to teach evolution, all hell broke loose in my class. all the die hard christians were cussing at my teacher and tellin him we was gonna go to hell and all this stuff, and i think thats just terrible. yes i believe in god, and i also believe in evolution becuase there is so much evidence to support it and the intelligent design theory is just total bullshit. im also lucky enough to have a small little church where the pastors arent rich and actually they are both women. i also have a funny story about catholics. im a methodist christian and as part of my confirmation we had to visit other churches to see what they were like and what they tought. we all sat down next to a nun and about 15 minutes into the sermon the priest told everyone we were methodists visiting their church. the nun sitting next to us then gave us a nasty looked and went to sit across the room. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I don't believe in religion but I find comfort in believing that there is something much bigger than ourselves "overseeing things".

As I said though, organized religion can take a ******** hike.
