Head unit: Alpine 9886- bass setting at 0 (out of -7 thru+7), Center freq 60hz (not x-over), Q setting 4 (wide), loudness function 'on' (since it turns off automatically after a set volume setting). sub amp Kicker Zx1500.1....gains set at 1/2 way, bass boost set at 0....x-over set at around 80hz.
Sorry if this is confusing, but I am trying to figure this out since I thought I could get more volume this way compared to before. The old settings were wayyy different.

I think with the new settings I can even turn the gains down more with the bass set at 0 instead of -7. Keep in mind this H/U supposedly has 4V
preouts.
