Against my better judgement I am going to ask some questions here. I have no dog in this fight or probably ever will.
Is there somewhere, another forum perhaps that has a thread "defend skar, bashing on ca.com" or something that is bringing these guys here to register and post for the first time?

When was the last time Kevin did something that is spoken of here? When and what was it?

For those coming on here and trying to defend, being all macho and tuff really doesn't give much credit to your argument. You would be much better off just stating that you had a good experience with him, his service and his product.

Like that thread that guy made about supposedly his kid got messed up looking subs or amps, it was ridiculous how many people believed that crap although there were no pictures taken or anything, actually people still believe it.

People who ride the bandwagon are so gullible it's ridiculous. I bet I could make a new account, maybe get 10 or 15 posts then make a detailed bs post of how skar audio screwed me over and post no pictures and people would still believe it, only because they are riding the bandwagon and just want to make it seem like Skar audio is really that crappy.

And i'm not saying all this because I bought skar, the first thread was informative to people and kevin apologized..people didn't really care and continued writing the same crap. It just kept on going on and on with the same people still posting the same things. New thread gets made, and wouldn't you know, its the same people saying the same things again, same with the next thread and even if 10 more threads get made, it will still be the same people saying the same things.

The owner may have been shady in the past, but the product is fine. I've been running my VVXs + my brz since march and I haven't had any problems yet. So if somebody asks about skar, just tell them the product is good, just the owner has had some shadyness in the past and for them to search for info instead of making a thread about them over and over.

That's all I have to say, if we want this site better than this can be a start.

Well he has a website if you want a-stock.. however JUST LIKE the sundown, Kevin uses this forum to peddle his b-stock at discounted prices. Please search "Sundown garage sale" as that is exactly what Jacob the car audio God utilizes this site for as well.


Been around for 2 months.. never bought skar products?? So not only do you not know that skar makes great subs (cause hell, lets admit it.. if you like sundown then skar IS the same sub.. designed by the same guy) but you werent even around when ANY of Kevin's shady actions took place. You also werent around when Kevin made amends with his victims and corrected the wrong doings of his past.. You, Titothepirate, etc. etc. just jump on the **** of a few old timers and the bandwagon gets annoying as hell when a noob running boss tells me my skar vvx's are ***** because a guy (who lets face it, most of kevins haters are jealous that THIS GUY has an audio business. So he was born with a silver spoon, stop letting his rich parents control your life) on a forum tells you kevin was a shitbag as a teen.. Point being, you dont know anything about the situation, the company, his business, the products, the past, or the actions of kevin to make things right

From what I understand, and no I haven't bought from skar (horrible name btw IMO), Jacob starts a thread titled garage sale and clearly listed items as qc deficient. Kevin sold his b stock as new, or rather filled his orders with b stock.

I have no dog in the fight but would probably never give him any of my money. Took me a long time to buy any eD product, re product and recently sundown but if they are still around in a few years and his rep has improved then may e I would grab something. Though to be honest his amps are the only thing I'd be interested in and there's better for the money

I hear ya, but this is a good example of a Skar customer...and this thread only lasted for 1 hour before it was closed as soon as Skar requested pics/receipt and called the OP a trolling liar in the same post....Shady stuff there, man...if it was me and I had a customer attempt to inquire about $5k worth of purchases, I would have let it play out until it was known whether it was fake or not....I can just imagine some dude pissed off and walks in the house after taking pics to find the thread sealed shut in his face like a lil 2-bit punk might do.

Well for a single 15" sub powered at about 1200 watts hitting 145db, Id say most in my class wouldn't compete.

I was regularly trounced in SPL competitions with higher scores, with less cone area, at a third of the power.

I purchased from kevin. I am very happy with my vvx-12's (Sa-12's)!! I am a satisfied customer who has legitimately done business with kevin. I did not say he was a great guy. Hell I didnt say he was a good gut, but he apparently runs his business as a business and the product speaks for itself. With that being said no one here can present ANYONE who has been scammed. As for the "customer" who spent 5k on amps that were scratched lets us common sense. 1) wouldnt kevin have noticed that order immediately.. Im sure its not everyday someone drops 5k on his amps and 2) wouldnt someone who was scammed for 5k worth of gear have presented proof upfront and fought to open a new thread after having his closed... no scam=no scam.. its like screaming **** with no ******
