What the fuck are you bitching about? You're bitching about things on the internet. If you had any real guts, you would call them up and talk to them, instead of dealing with it over the internet. I bet if you were to call up RE, or Nathan from EA, that they would have been much more professional like. But when you get pissy with them on the internet, nobody is going to be very professional. Next time you need to buy something, take care of it in a different way and quit complaining about it.

Shaun had a problem and was rightly upset about it. He contacted me the way he knew how, He might not have had my phone number..... ? He knows that I do answer emails on a regular basis. He might have called me being upset and nothing might have been accomplished. I am glad that he is letting me help him with this frustrating issue. It will be taken care of and that is what matters. I dont blame him for being upset, I just did not like him saying I build shi77y alternators. I am not trying to knock him, I just want to do what I can to take care of his problem and keep a good customer.

nathan has been nothing but helpfull with my alternator situation i too have a bonneville a 97 i was on repair number 5 and out of warrenty and he is still offering me a new one at no charge to me i believe we are just learning that there is a compatibilty issue with these cars or somthing

i still would not sway anyone away form buying from nathan he stands behind his alts like no other

It seems like most of his alts work. I'm not saying I've had great CS with Nate, but he was always at least professional with me. I'm still pissed that he wouldn't replace my lights and battery, but hey that's life, I guess I shoulda read up on the warranty... I have yet to get my alt back in so I don't know how it's gonna work this time. Anyways, this thread really was kind of shitty and so was the thing with David from RE, that was taken out of context. (Although I agree dave is a dick) Anyways I just wanted to post something slightly positive for Nate, your really breakin his ballz. The alt did work well when it worked, 14.3-14.6v. And mine may have been broken in shipping because a couple plastic pieces were broken when I got it. There's no way to prove that tho... it last a couple months.

His Bonneville idles at a very low rpm and it is difficult to get some specific high output alternators to turn on at that idle speed. The alternator does charge, it just does not turn on at his idle speed.

I have a EA alt in shipping to me atm, I kinda got antsy about how long it was taking to hand wind mine but, honestly i have no idea how long it takes and i just wanted my stereo in ASAP. I expressed in a non b.i.t.chy way that it was taking a long time, and he offered to sned a shirt or whatnot.

Its still in transit but i am pretty confident that my alt will work correctly, and if not i'll message him. If my alt was to be send back 3 times or whatever i think i would get a little ticked off, but i dont think that will be the case.

People are always willing to make a thread about a business if they have a bad situation, but if everything works out o.k., threads praising the company are usually nowhere to be found.

Just imagine if everyone who has had no problems with their alt started a thread. I wouldn't doubt for a second that the entire forum would be full of threads thanking EA. I myself have had my EA alt in for over a year, and have had ZERO problems.

It's always the people who have problems who make the entire company look bad. it's nothing new and it's nothing that is ever going to stop.

I hope the situation gets resolved.
