Do in-dash equalizers really work?

WOuld I have the same output voltage of the line driver if the HU output is 2, 4 or 6 volts???

you can get every watt out of you amp with a 1v signal you don't need a line driver for that as far as SQ it will only help in the way I said before

input voltage has nothing to do with output voltage

you can get every watt out of the amp at 1volts but you will make the most of those watts at much higher voltage

OK here is another question...

The HU has 3 outputs... Front/Rear/Sub with crossover in the sub output, and other gadgets...

Then the Four.1 as 1input and 2 outputs... what would happen to all the HU gadgets if I'm only using a front output to the 4.1...

Won't I loose all the extras in the HU because I'm only using 1 preout or the 4.1 is way much better than having cheap HU crossovers in the front/rear and sub preouts?

only gadgets you couldn't use is the -------internal x-over if any and the HU fader

what I think I was trying to say was that he will get much more out of the wattage as in a cleaner stronger signal, when I jumped my voltage up from 4 volts to around 12 or 13 it was a hugge difference, all the speakers were humming at full tilt so much so that I had to crank down the amps a decent amount, but keeping in mind I had 21 feet of RCA's to push the signal through
