Do I have enough power for 3200 watts??

Hey guys, I know I just posted something similar to this but I got a great deal on some used alpine Type X's and I want to know If I have enough power to push 3200 watts for the subs and all of my highs.

I have a 220 amp HO alternator, stock battery under the hood, a kinetik hc600 battery in the trunk and the big 3 performed with rockford 0 guage wire. Am I good to go, or should I upgrade my battery under the hood first

you should be fine with a bigger battery in the rear. what kind of car is it?

You have the potential to overload even the 220 watt HO alternator, so another battery would be a good idea.

You've got a good base with the alt. Thats more than some people will do to upgrade to run higher watts.

very very true. i run 3200 total watts with my 210 H/O alt stock front battery, and 1 yellow top in the rear and i see no dimming what so ever

yup, just upgrade your rear batt to like a group 31 size

my battery in the rear is a kinetik 600 amp. youre saying i should go bigger than that? Wouldnt i be better off upgrading uder the hood if i already have a deep cycle int he back?

nope. the battery closest to the amp is the main one to worry about

I would do the one under the hood, especially if it's cheap. My one upfront died with my ~2500-3kw. And it started draining my batcaps.

don't buy anything. run your system and see if your voltage drop is bad. if you want to sustain the voltage better, get another battery. I'd replace the one under the hood unless you can't fit a bigger battery than the hc600 under the hood. If that's the case then move the hc600 under the hood and get a bigger battery in the rear. I really don't see a need to ever run a hc600. pretty good waste of money is all I think, but I have never ran a battery that small.

PS - what 3k amp are you running? You better not say some boss amp.
