First time using a DMM and im not sure which of the billion settings to turn the dial to. Im supposed to be seeing 77.5 volts but the highest ive seen is 6. I havent been able to find any tutorials online that show what the DMM is supposed to be set to. Help? A picture or 2 would be greatly appreciated.

Ya thanks man I got that........my question was which setting on the dmm do I use to measure the voltage. I have so many different options ...2A, 20A, 200A, 2000A...that's just 1 quarter of the circle. What do I set it to?

you have a picture of the meter you are using?

I would probably guess you should be on AC 100x to be able to see 77v.

but a picture would help

set it to the 200V setting in the V~ (7 clicks clockwise from the off position).
