DMM says 14.9v

This cant be right can it? All stock electrical in a 99 Grand Prix.

How do you adjust the DMM if it is off? It isnt a cheap one by any means it should be capable of accuracy.

But if it reads just under 15 doesnt that mean something is wrong with the DMM?

or that your charging system is a couple tenths higher then averagae, shouldn't be a big deal

Could possibly be the regulator starting to go.

If it continues to rise, you could fry your electrical

you're fine. maybe keep a eye on it, but as already stated, be thankful.

gauge on dash reads 14.8 quite often as well, but it being 15y/o not sure how much faith to put in it.

x2 on a cool day without music blaring I will see 14.8-15 on my dash readout.

Not necessarily. My Alpine h/u will shut down with that much over voltage.
