DMM Question????

Ok, Ive read the Gain setting tutorial and alot of the posts in it, but I cant figure this out. I have a PG Titanium 600.2 run @ 4 ohms that produces 600 watts. The problem is that I cant get the correct DMM voltage without the bass boost turned up on the amp. I have my HU at 30/40 volume, bass +3, treb 0. test tone played 50hz. With those settings and no bass boost the most I could get was like 20.x. In order to get the desired voltage(48.9), I would have to turn the bass boost up over half way or more.

Am I doing something wrong?

I completely unhooked my crossover and 4 channel amp.

I tried engine running and off.

Subwoofer was dissconnected.

Either the HU doesn't have high enough preout voltage to drive the amp, the amp doesn't do it's rated power, or the 50 hz source CD is low.

If you recorded your own test CD be sure it's 0 dB level. Some programs create -10 dB tones which makes a big difference. Use Bass Mekanik or some commercial test CD.
