DLS Iridiums going FULL ACTIVE!! need help!

To me it is sounding kind of blah.. like the definition and that kick in the lower mid isn't happening.

Done any sound deadening?

also what amps are you running with the system? you do realize that going active you must have a indepedent channel to each speaker which = more money //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.

i think your tweets and midbass are fine where they are. although the tweeters can be moved up to the a-pillars for a higher soundstage. but i would definately look into moving the midranges into the kicks. just like chuyler1 did. cut holes in your oem kicks and you are good to go.

Or unless, i just cover the hole with something ? it's about 3 inches in diameter.. Have any ideas how I should cover it? Yes I just purchased a US AMP 4300x (75x4@4ohm) to use in conjunction with the amp I have now (DLS CA-23)

So DLS CA-23 is running the midbass

US AMP 4300x is giong to run Tweets and Mids.

And yes I must have like 10 LBS of deadener on each door haha

Did you close off all the backwaves? or did you leave the interior skin of the door all holey?

yea i agree with undercoverpunk, go to a junkyard and get some new panels. thats pretty much your only option unless you want those holes in those doors.

also have you tried the good ole flip polarity on one your midbasses? i did that with my mids and boy it made a difference. pounded my chest like no other.

well.. I tried to cover up all teh holes.. But I think I can do a better job. Cool at least I have somethign to do tomorrow lol! Will that take care of that crazy piercing out of no where shreeking harsh sound between 5-7khz??

Yes I flipped teh driver side, and delayed passenger side by 2ms. It improved alot!! But when say vocals hit hard/electric guitar i still get that crazy noise.

hmmm interesting, why would you delay the passenger side by 2ms? that even worsen your imaging. you are supposed to delay the speakers on your side.

also trying eq'ing down the 8-10khz area. thats where lots of harshness occurs.

well glad that your speakers improved in a good way. lol.

But I'm gonna go ahead and test that mid in the stock kicks. If there's a difference i'll find a way to cover up the hole lol. Martha stewart would know a way to cover that hole.

A buddy of mine has a Miata and has tried nearly everything and couldn't get the sound he wanted. Too many constrictions in the interior.
