DLS, Audison, Arc or any other brands

I am looking to upgrade my JL 300/4 and my 500/1 because i am going 3 way active in the front with my Rainbow Profi speakers that i currently have in. I was going to originally put the choices in between the DLS and the Arc but i've been hearing a lot of good things about Audison as well. I need to limit my choices down.

Here are the amps i am currently looking at:

DLS

1. Ultimate A4 4x85 RMS

2. Ultimate A2 2x85 RMS

2. Reference 75x4 RMS

4. Reference RA25 2x70 RMS

Is there much of a difference between the Reference and the Ultimate amps? I know id have to get 2 to complete a 3 way setup. The price difference total for is about $300 from both the Ultimates to the References.

Audison

5. vrx6420 4x75 and 2x85 RMS

6. lrx 5.1k Specs i cant remember with a Lrx 2.150 2x80

7. 3 Lrx 2.150 2x80 RMS each

What is the difference between the Vrx series and the Lrx series? I can get a relatively good deal on the Lrx 5.1K when it comes out compared to the 1500 MRSP, but id have to get another amp as well for 3 way components, something like the lrx 2.150. The Vrx6.420 is perfect for me since its a 6 channel amp but it is rather pricey.

Arc audio

8. 4050 XXK 50x4 RMS

9. 2100 XXK 100x2 RMS

I can get a really good deal on these both, only thing is that the 4050 is kind of low on power but i think it would be fine for my mids and tweets and i would use the 2100 for the woofers.

Rainbow

10. KW 4150 4x75

I can get this amp for $400. I would say i could wait for them iPAULs if necessary. Their speakers are great, but what about their amps?

So out of these 4 brands, which should i stick with and what amps in particular? (amps can be another type not listed) I am sure all 3 of these brands will sound great, so which has the best build quality? I heard Audison amps heat up fast but im not worried because they will be fan cooled anyways. I know Don and Manny both use the Audisons Lrx, and ya both have gone through a lot of amps, so your advices would be very valuable to me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Any other amp brands suggestions are welcome, but in the end for the speaker amps i do not want to spend over $1500. $1000 would be very nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I mines will throw these into the mix as well.

Rockford fosgate

RF T600-4 100x4 RMS

RF T400-2 110x 2 RMS

Memphis

MCA5004 125x4 RMS

MCA150 75x2 RMS

Thanks

well first off what is your budget? also what kind of power are you looking for? what speakers?

HAHAHA.

A little clue on the power demand...there seems to be a pattern through his lists of amplifiers...maaaaaaaaayyyybeeee 75watts-100watts RMS for the 4-channel and 150watts-200watts RMS on the 2-channel? nahhhhh. A little consideration into thoroughly reading the post.

Gl finding new XXK's. How about them Arc SE's, might as well if people are going to suggest Sinfoni.
I have never heard of Sinfoni but they look very fancy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I can get XXKs brand new from the dealer i know. Killer price too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The dealer recommended Audison as well out of the DLS, Audison, and Arc Audio choices.

I'm limiting myself down to $1500 (all those amps including 2 of the DLS ultimates would cost me under $1500) because i still need the Rainbow MR100s as well as an active crossover, a sub amp, and a new sub.

You should be able to get a very nice deal on the XXK's since they're on clearance to dealers, price is VERY low //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif . Not on all models, only the last few and the ones you listed are on the list. Some 2500XXK's also.

Arc XXK's are very nice, im happy with mine, they are just to big.

DLS is nice, havent used the reference, only ultimate.

Audison, also nice and compact. They do have overheating issues if driven hard.

Rainbow i havent used.

Personally I would go DLS or Arc SE.

That explains a lot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif They are going to stop making them or making another better model? I got quoted $600 for both which is jaw dropping imo.

Too big in length? They look small in the pics hah. Heat wont be a problem, everything will be put in a fan cooled amp rack.

I forgot to ask that, is SE top of the line for Arc? Then XXK?

i did not ask you the question, i asked him. ok i missed that he put up a budget and speakers. but just cause he lists a few amps doesn't mean thats his power requirement.

IMO get the most power money can buy. i dont believe in "sq" in amps. i buy amps do to size, power, aesthetics, connections and warranty.
