Great amps,all of them outclass a Type R woofer.........

Maybe you should check out a Hifonics amp,id say they

are more on par with the level of quality woofer vs sub

I've got a pair of the DUAL 4 OHM Type-Rs (SWR-1242d), and currently have a HIFONICS BX1205d to them. I was planning on upgrading to a pair of RE SE12s soon, but wanted to upgrade the amp first. What do you guys think?

All good amps, but I would choose the MD1

MD1 is a nice amp. . .

What is wrong with the Hifonics and the type-R's?

edit: sorry I see they are sealed. I assume the SE's will be sealed?

I am just curious. Depending on the overall setup, that may not be the improvement you might think it is going to be. . .

Instead of SE's, look into the soon to be out Stereo Integrity BM's!

that has to be the first time I have ever heard someone say downgrade your amp quality because it doesnt match the sub quality.....what are you saying...a Decent sub wont sound good with a great amp????? only one on the same level??!! DUH!
