Ditched the bx1500d...what now?

It's a 2 ohm stable amp out of the box...modding it allows it to drop to a lower impedance, and when you drop impedance, power increases (given enough voltage)...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
oh!!!!! i thought it was 1500@1ohm to begin with, i diddnt do my research, forgive me. but back to the questions about my amp choices(refer to links above) whaddya think, those visoniks cool?

To make it easier: if it puts out 1500rms@2ohm simple math would say 3000@1ohm.
I would however say that you can realistically expect 1.8 - 2k from a 14-15 vdc supply. Preferably you have a "hi" pre out voltage, even better, a linedriver.

I dont remember what MTX rated them at originally (12, 13.8, 14.4vdc), sorry.

Specifications

RMS Power 12.5 VDC

2 Ohm Load 1000w x 1

4 Ohm Load 500w x 1

Dynamic Power 14.4 VDC

2 Ohm Load 1500 w x 1

4 Ohm Load 750 w x 1

if your looking for a quality 2kw+ amp, there really isn't a way to get it cheaply. whether you go with a single monster amp or a pair of 1200w strappable amps, expect to pay upwards of $500.
