How does this look for a good disty. block? Connecting a 300/4 and a 500/1 amp.

So I just put one fuse on the 4 gauge power wire close to the battery (using a fuse holder), and then I can load up 2 total fuses in the disty block for each 8 gauge wire that goes to the separate amps - and I'm done, correct?
Also, looks like I need a 50A fuse for the 500/1 and a 40A fuse for the 300/4. Would it hurt if I used a 120A fuse near the battery instead of a lower 90A?
