distribution block ????

maybe a stupid question but here in the future i will be doing an install and was wondering if it was possible to run 1 in 2 out distribution block 4 awg all around? the only reason i ask is i have 4 awg ran from a previous install and this install im running 2 amps so really dont want to rerun the power wire but i have a feeling i will need too lol. thanks for your help or input.

amps are the mb quart onyx 1600.1d and mb quart onyx 4.60

i'd run another wire ,that way you have one for each amp ,or rerun the wire in 0 gauge and use the distro block then .most maxxsonics amps are a bit power hungry ,so there may be to much voltage draw with the 2 amps ,but you really wont know until you get it all installed

figured... i have the 0 awg just didnt want to run it if i didnt have too lol

Add the fuse rating on the amps together and get a wire that will support at least that much current, then you can use a distro to run 4ga to each amp. 1/0 CCA would probably be sufficient

Very true, don't cheap out because a lot of cheap 1/0 is more like 2 gauge

I like Knu because it's oversized and gives you some head room, and if I remember right your wire is oversized too

i have the 0/1 awg kit from AT now CT-sounds..... well looks like will have to rewire the beast.... *insert curse word x2* LOL
