distribution block?

I am making my distribution block this weekend. It will be an aluminium block 3"x2"x2". What should I use to protect it? Will it get hot? I will only be running around 2000rms through it, with good electrical, so I just need to know what to do with this chuck of metal?

if you can get a good mold, use plastic

I was thinking this. When we get our sharpened tools back they come in a "dip" of some kind. Is it called plasti dip?

Safety is my number one concern as my family will be using this car also. So what ever I do I have to make sure it is safe for them.

And as far as finding threads on here good luck. I try to search on here, but it is so hard to find what you are looking for.
