Okay so im going to a auto show at my school in a week or so. And i currently have 2 12' kenwoods 1200 watt ea. and a 1000 kenwood watt amp. 500 watts rms. They are pretty loud. And im pretty sure there the loudest at my school. But I have 2 more 1200 watt 12's and a 1000 watt amp that i don't use. I want to add those in the setup. I have a 1f cap. I got it cause my lights were dimming. And the cap fixed that. and when im bumpin hard the cap still doesn't go under like 10. so im assuming it can hold another amp + subs. So ive been reading about how to add more. And i see the best way to do this is add a distribution block. But i have no experience with those at all. So i need some help. If anyone has experience on it. I need to know what kind/size i should get.

thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

correction. the cap doesnt go under 12ish

your a dumb *** caps dont really work and who runs cheap shit and thinks its loud... you need to get out and see what there is really to offer like DD and memphis. and 10 volts is really bad

tjjohnson91. um im pretty sure i didnt ask for any flaming. i asked for help. but thanks for your opinion ill take that into consideration. lmao. and caps dont work? really? then how come my lights no longer dim and the bass hits alot harder on big notes? its deffinitily not magic. must be the cap.

OP, you ought to do some reading on capacitors:

http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5754772&postcount=3

That will give you the real deal on what's going on.

Also, you should do what is called the "Big 3" upgrade. You will find numerous threads and how-to's on this, you can just google search it. It is essentially upgrading your existing grounds, and alternator to battery cable. Be sure to fuse the second cable going from the alternator to battery though!

Placing a second amplifier on your stock electrical system doesn't sound like a good idea brah, dropping below 10V is horrible already :-/

Low voltage smokes amplifiers very quickly.

Ditch the capacitor, big 3 it, and run the more powerful amplifier you have and the more efficient subwoofers for the show you are going to.

And for future reference, it depends if you want a fused or unfused distribution block, what size cable you are using, and how many inputs/outputs you would like.

So since they don't work at all, I want you to say that the world can do without capacitors. Say it.

Do some reading. that's how your setup will get better.

While caps aren't useless, there are many much, much more effective and cheaper ways to improve electrical.

If you're dropping into the low 10's, that's very bad. I'm surprised your amp hasnt blown/gone into protect yet.

Do the big 3, and if your amp is only 500 watts you really shouldn't have too many electrical issues...even with your second one.

okay, i will proly upgrade my big 3. but this setup is only going to be temporary. So im not going to spend loads of money on it. I really only want to run one more amp and 2 subs. And i dont want to run that much more wiring because its not going to be permanent. So what would be the best way to do this. Nobody has said anything about a distribution block. that mean i shouldnt do this? if so then how.
