ok Distortin, yes it is bad for a sub....real bad. buuuuut will distortion in SPL give u a higher DB?

what im saying is if u crank the volume n etc.... all the way up where u kno theres distortion, will it lessen ur db rating or higher it because its still louder?

from what I have gathered over the years, for the split seconds your amp/woofer see, there will be no ill effects...over a long period, yes.

o im not gonna do it for a long period of time, im just asking because i kno when i burp my subs for comp on the 1st, ima have alittle distortion, wich i kno is bad...but i wanna make sure im not gonna loose like say a db from the distortion.
