Distortion at moderate levels

I have a alpine m850 when I turn the volume up I get major distortion and weird sounds. What could the problem be? It's not the head unit or wires because when I changed the amplifier everything works fine

So when the Alpine is replaced by the previous amp, it all works good? Is the Alpine new? Can you post a picture of the Alpine's settings?

I noticed the gain was pretty high when I checked the setting but not sure if I played with it when we put it in. I'm going to test it again with the gain down.
