i would agree with railrocker... i dont think that there is a certain distance.. just as long as there isnt touching.. just to be on the safe side.... go at least an inch or more..... might aid with the cooling, and pole vent

I was wondering the same thing, And I called up a subwoofer maker, I forget if it was RE, ID, or whoever, its been a while and they said it shoule be spaced the diameter of the vent if the pole is vented.

A pole vent is exactly that, A VENT...give it room to breath.

the pole vent if i am not mistaken should be in the middle of the magnet assembly.... and it should be a fair size hole... like djman says... let er breathe man.. be on the safe side
