distance between amp and battery

My buddy gave me an idea on how to mount my amp, but it will touching the batteries...will that harm anything when the amp is on?

like touching the casing on the batteries? won't be a problem

If its touching the terminal than no....move it

Only thing to worry about is the amp's proximity to anything in terms of air flow and proper cooling. Other than that, not a problem to be touching the battery (sans terminals)
