is anyone unhappy about going from 12" to 15" subs

please state why and what the difference in sound was

i'm considering going from 2 12" to 2 15" subs but dont want to sacrifice SQ

although i heard that its just a myth that 12's are faster than 15's, apparently the box determines this

please help me out

Ok, here's the deal. 12's are not tighter or faster then 15's. 15's do not go lower then 12's. 15's are a tiny bit louder then 12's, that is the only difference, well except for needing more airspace and sometimes a little more juice to make em get down. Everything else you hear is all b/s.

Going from a 12 to a 15 of the same model, you don't generally sacrifice any SQ, you get louder, and you extend lower. The reason for the latter two being that you increase displacement.

SQ does not have to be lost going from a 12 to a 15, but it depdends on the type of sub. I guess if you read between the lines and decipher that, it means that the size doesn't determine the sq or "quickness" of the driver, but rather the type of sub does.

I switched from 2 12's to a single 15 ~3 years ago and have bounced back and forth between 15's a few times...never wishing to go back to 12's. Personal preference I suppose.

well i went from 2 12's to 1 18. they are different brands, but my xxx hasn't disappointed me at all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

?dude, everything you just said is wrong, except for 15s needing more airspace.

learn before you speak, not afterwards.
