discontinued JL audio slash series amp?

My friend has an older JL amp he used to use on 3 w3s several years ago.. he says it is a 500/3...i can't find the 500/3 ANYWHERE online..

i was thinking about getting it from him and having it fixed if it would be of use to me in my system, i think its just a burnt capacitor..

well if anyone knows the specs for a 500/3 please post..if there is no such thing as a 500/3..please post..he said he thinks it is stable from 4-1.3? ohms..

JL makes a 5 channel amp but they have never made a 3 channel. Ask to see the book and specs on the amp. It's probably a 300/4 and the guy doesn't know it. Also, the slash series amps put out the same wattage at 1.5 to 4 ohm. So, even if you have two 4 ohm DVC subs or a 1.5ohm setup, the amp will still push 500 watts rms (see the rips information). Read up on the slash series, you'll understand.

ah, i figured he forgot since its been sitting in his closet at his parents house for a few years. i thought it might be a 600/2?
