was riding awalago, a cop came up and told me that in the city of rowlett its illegal to ride an atv and he told me to go home...well i was going home the same way i had been the last few days and i drove over the curb and then there was a big bump kinda thing and i guess from being pissed off i lost concentration and grabbed a hand full of throttle..pulled the clutch and front brake helped slow it down but through me off balance and i dropped it hard....clutch lever is dominated, and now it wont switch out of first and nuetral....****ed up my ankle as well, and i already had a pre existing injury from a long time ago with that...never should have ridden without proper gear....prolly am about to go see the weekend doctor place....

Sorry to hear that man, you just got the sucker too.

You live and learn, its all a riding experience, and falling down and getting back up is a big part of it.

Good luck, and stay safe //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Sucks dude, good thing you weren't on a street bike. Wear proper gear, jacket, helmet, gloves, dirt bike BOOTS.

Throttle chopping and hitting the brakes hard are usually really bad on bikes in a situtation where you're losing control. It's counter intuitive but you have practice. I've heard that dirt people don't use the front brake too often because of lock ups. Don't know if this is true, i've never been on the dirt, strictly street.

Be careful out there!

Yea i use to drag my bike all the time with no probs. then i bought a lil 110 dirt to play and wreck that bish several times, messing my ankle up too. so i bought another for the wifey....lol

sorry to here and hope u get better soon

now get some riding boots and a chest protector.... and dont ride in the city. If the shifter wont shift at all you probably have a bent shift fork. Have fun with that.

i have all that stuff on the way, its being shipped right now....and i live next to a lake...with a shitton of empty land thats wooded, some open...didnt figure it would be a problem riding there....how much does that cost to replace?

Well if it is infact the shift fork you will have to remove the engine from the frame, take the head/cylinder off, and split the cases. It's no fun, believe me. Probly cost 600 in labor at a shop... i doubt the part alone is more than 50 though. Get a new clutch lever first and make sure it isnt just your shifter that is bent and hitting something...
