the older model ones should do what they are rated, i dont think the newer style are that great though, but i havent used the new ones, just read

The old stuff was teh shit - Old Orion and Viper amps are awesome as hell. The new stuff is decent for the money, as long as you're not going for a lesser line of theirs.

Isn't there a JBL 600.1 in the classified for $130? Infinitely better than that Directed IMO, used or not. I didn't know Directed had resorted to using max power ratings when naming their equipment. =\

No experience with the newer ones, but the old one I had was a great amp for the price I paid. Couldn't beat it.
