Directed 750d / Orion 600D

Do both of these use the same board? Is one more reliable than the other even though they're made by the same company? Do these amps have SSFs? I'm thinking about buying one of these amps from ikesound and the price diff is $6.

i just got my orion 600d today and it doesnt have a SSF, but i think the dei viper and orion 600s are all about the same, all barely get warm i believe i had a viper 1100.5 and it also didnt get warm, but it seemd to put out more power then this orion i got both are rated at 600w@1ohm

in respone to your sig you could get a refurbed planet audio 1250 on ebay refurbed for like 180shipped i think

How does Planet Audio amps compare to other companies amps? I'm just looking for something that puts out 600w rms or higher at 4 ohms or 1 ohms that is decent. I bought a refurb Profile CA800 but it smoked like crazy and died the next day.

ask Acidburn about the PA amps, he has 2 of them. from what i have seen PA amps are very solid. i would go PA over the Profile refurb

the 850 is 1ohm stable and only 130shipped ive heard they are reliable and put out rated power

PA 850? The thing that's holding me back from buying the Orion or DEI is problems that some people have had with ikesound and their jacked up shipping price.

i got me a viper 1100.5 refurbed form them and it died after a few weeks and i finally got the orion for a replacement...shipping is like $20 i paid $25shipping for my HU

How bout this question. Does directed amps use a screw down terminal for power? What about viper amps? Plugs?

yeh i made sure they didnt use screw when i got my orion its direct connect i got 4awg but it looks like its made for 8awg, looks smaller then the connection for my hifonics, im pretty sure the dei has screw terminals and yes the viper uses the plugs. i would take the viper over the orion but, doubt u will find them, and orion over dei

The viper is being sold at ikesound. The thing is the DEI and Viper has a $20 difference in price. Is it worth getting it? The orion is a lil more expensive than the Viper, and I don't know if that's worth it either. Btw, skmfkr, did you get my PM about the BX605?
