directed 1500d or kicker zx1500

i have a directed 1500d would going to kicker be a better choice the directed is 1200 watts @1ohm and the zx1500 is rated @1700 watts by the birthsheet

to those who pick kicker over directed, why? those dei models(1500d 2400d, 110d) are some very good amps.

i would keep the directed. i have 2 of the viper 1200's, pretty much the same amp, and they have been going strong for 3 years and a numerous number of installs.

I would definitely take the kicker, and I never run kicker. I was VERY dissapointed with the directed amps I had... swapped em out for a eD nine.1 and nine.2 and the sound even without adjusting anything was miles better

the power difference isnt that much between the kicker and the directed, and your going to pay twice as much for the kicker

get the kicker, the zx line are great amps, especially the zx1500 a nd the zx2500. The directed puts out 1200-1300 watts, the kicker puts out 1600-1800 watts. no brainer if you ask me.

Kickers are much more reliable amps. I've heard so much about people blowing up their DEIs, and you almost never hear about people killing Kickers.

Are you talking about the Old style DEI`s or the New DEI`s, I have a 2400d not the D2400(new) and it has been solid no problems at all very efficent too.

ive never tried the never dei amps, heard they werent too great. i have had 2 1500d's that i ran at .5 ohm for months with no problems, and the 2400d which is a 2 ohm stable amp and i ran that at .7 for months with no problems. nothing wrong with directed.
