dimming lights with h/o alt big 3 and kinetik battery

starting voltage is 14.9 and drops to 14.4 to 14.2 it fluctuates a little lowest though is 14.2 for big three power from alt to battery ground to engine block another ground to chasis, and from battery to fuse block
Thats perfectly fine and safe ...if the dimming headlights bug u switch to hids

Hids will be the best choice to fix the dimming headlights, and the interior lights, just close your eyes when your not driving and ignore that, your voltage is more than perfect.

What is ur starting.voltage and what is it dropping to ? describe where ur big 3 wires are connected
Where is best and more effective to connect my dash voltmeter, Connected directly to the battery in front?, or Connected to the bass amp in the rear?

So am I reading this right, even if a car gets noticeable dimming, it does NOT mean their voltage is dropping too low?

Exactly, the interior/dash/headlights (if they aren't HID) will be just a tad bit brighter the higher the voltage goes (to a point, eventually they would burn out) So any small voltage drop will make them dim.

OP, reinstall the stock wiring if you still have them. Your electrical is plenty powerful, you have nothing to worry about. My stock alt, stock battery up front and XS D680 in the trunk running 1.2k has no headlight dimming, because I'm running HID headlights. If I'm idling and playing the system my LED switchback blinkers and interior lights are dimming, but are barely noticeable. Stock alt is 140a, Big 3 kit is in the mail thanks to @mylows10 ; :)

I'm going to agree with everyone that said you have plenty of power. Electrical current isnt steady its dynamic, (ever changing) your lights dimming is the easiest thing for you to physically notice. If it bothers you an easy fix would be what other people suggested hid's for your headlights. And also led's for your gauge/dash lights

Oh Jesus.... The ole HID will fix your dimming problem again.....
Worked for me... Ran 600W RMS on stock electrical, 4ga wiring and my headlights dimmed considerably, now I'm running 1.2k with HIDs, 2ga wiring, and an XS power D680 and I have no dimming. Had the D680 out for monthly charge a week ago and I still had no dimming. The LED switchback bulbs I have instead of normal blinkers dimmed, but the HIDs don't.
