Start with the Big 3, it's stickied in the wiring and elctrical help section. If you still have dimming, the next route would be to upgrade your alternator and/or battery.

A cap would likely help if your charging system is working correctly. Everyone on here likes to bash capacitors because they don't understand them. They are not an all-encompassing fix, or something to replace the big-3, but they can help, despite what a lot of these people would say about it. Also, what is the car?

A cap is pretty much a battery that charges, and discharges really fast. The main use is to keep your amps feed with a steady voltage.

My system is actualy on its way in the mail. atm I am receiveing 2 JL 10W3v2 subs and a Pheonix Gold 800W amp.
