When building a sealed enclosure does it matter the shape? Should their be a certain about of depth behind the sub? Should the sub be centered? Or does only volume (Cubic feet) matter? Is there a difference between a 1 cubic foot box that is a perfect square or one that is a rectangle sound wise?

Thanks,

Hawk

if your sub has a pole vent, then you want a clearence equal to the diamter of the vent. if not, as long as the motor isnt touching the back wall it should be fine. if possilble, you don't want more than two parallel walls because of the possibility of standing waves (usually not a huge deal though). i believe there is an optimal length ratio, but i forget it off the top of my head.
