Dilemma

I just finished the magna *** laude project, but didn't recess the speakers because I didn't think I would be able to do so while making it look pretty at the same time, but I practiced on doing recesses today. It looked alright, but then again I don't want to mess up the finish. Also what would be good to trace the outer diameter of each speaker so I have a guideline to router on? Something that can be washed off clear coat/black paint, but will stay on the paint long enough for me to rout-about is what I'm looking for.

Um, use a pen and just router on the outside edge of the line...

why not a soft lead pencil?

I've already painted it black, graphite pencils don't mark for sh!t. I just used a butterknife to "score" an outline. It worked alright.
