Different wiring adapter?

So I just got my HU in and am trying to install it. However, I took the old HU out and went to plug in the adapter from the wiring harness and the back of the new HU and it don't match up. I don't know if they make different wiring harnesses for different makes of HU's, but this sucks. Help...

your HU should have come with a wiring plug specific to itself, a kenwood wiring plug won't plug into a pioneer stereo man- they aren't a common plug- you should be able to re-use your plug that goes into the car harness though.

Yes, they make different wiring harnesses for different makes of head units.

Your new head unit should have come with its own harness. If you dont have it, you might be in deep sh*t.

If you do have it, you have to wire the wiring harness to that new HU harness, like you did with your last HU harness.

A new one for the car side? Walmart sells them if that is what you need. If it is to plug into the HU, ebay or something like that.
