So I bought some MDF wood today...its 3/4" but I compared it to an old mdf box.. and this one looks like the particles are more tightly packed, as where the other one you can see the particles..did i buy the wrong shit? Whats the difference?

Baltic birch plywood FTW! Stronger and MUCH lighter than MDF or HDF. A bit on the $$$ side though.
Glass reinforced divynacel FTW 10 x stronger than steel, same weight pound for pound as balsa wood. All at the low, low price of about $50 per board foot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I think its like 40 a sheet?
Maybe more.

Ill try and check when I go into work today to get a price difference.

You work at Lowe's , Depot, or lumber yard?

I can get "cabinet grade" birch plywood for $5 a sheet if it is roughed up. I am not sure if it is baltic birch though. What about oak, any good?

I have to leave for work soon and I miss the world cup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I work for Lowe's....

Is that "cabinet grade" birch the same as the baltic birch, or does it depend on area.
