Different Ohms on different channels

Even in 2 ohm mode the amp will be seeing more than 2 ohms most of the time. If I'm not mistaken it is perfectly fine to have an amp in 2 ohm mode even with 4 ohm speakers wired to it. Take an active setup running off of a 4 channel for example, the mids may be 2 ohm speakers and the tweets could be 4ohms. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
