Of course there is. 06 Alpine models dont have crossovers LPF, HPF because Alpine thought functionability (ie. Ipod, XM radio) was more important than SQ. Also cause Alpine could be bought at Best Buy now so they tried to add functions that appeal to the general public. If your a true SQ head the 57 wont cut it. The 53, 55 are Alpines best head units by far.

Oh BTW, its very hard to get hands on a new 9855 because they're 05 models and cause the demand is high.

Still had the higher grade components, including V-Drive. And they still sell for $400 consistantly on ebay used.

it is and it isn't, its the same din size as its peers, but its got more display and space to actually press buttons. which is worth it to me. not to mention the sq... wowzers
