no smart A** comments is there a noticable difference in sound.

it depends on what you are doing with it. side to side in 2 exact setups probably won't hear much of a difference. but if you have a 10" sealed sub with 500 watts, and a 15 in a big *** ported box, tuned to like 45 hz. with 250 watts, there is a good chance the 250 watts would be louder.
