Im trying to figure out the real difference between a straight line driver such as rockford RF-BLD, balanced line driver and a bass restoration device such as the Soundstream BX-15 which has a built in line driver and restoration. Im sure the Epicenter is literally the same thing, aside from a few specs. I know that they arent as useful for something bass heavy as opposed to poor recordings, but are they useful at all for spl applications or to use as a line driver? Any help is appreciated. My main use is for spl, and prefer the higher output voltage of a line driver.
