difference in output on a 12 or 15

so you guys recommend me to get 2 15s over the 12s .... and how much power can this speakers handle ? should i go .5 or 1 ohm ?
Keep in mind the more cone area there is equals more heat thus a higher chance of sub blowing... Some brand subs have same rms rating in both the 12" an 15" (eg. type X both 12" an 15" have 1000rms max power rating. An 3000watt heat rating. So double check that.

Huh? Not if the gains are set correctly.....and we in the states call "heat rating", Peak or max rating if that's what your referring to. Don't confuse the OP.

I'v noticed the difference in references.. It's not that different.. We simply call rms the constant an the wattage is simply the maximum heat the coil can handle before it begins to give the that notorious burning smell.

I'm yet to hear the clipping... I mean I'd blown so many subs.... Some times Intensionally... But not because I play too loud it's because I play them near their peak for long periods as I drive long distances at a time. I set my gain very conservatively an play with the Base boost on my 7band equaliser... Sometimes I just turn it up quite a bit on specific songs an bang after Abt 4-6 songs coils start cooking but I am yet to hear that clipping.

There. Should NOT have any bass boost whatsoever. It's what will kill your sub. Alos, you can't hear clipping. If you had an o-scope, you can easily see the diff wave forms between pointed ones and rounded ones(curves).

I have many ppl say they eh.. But I never listen(I am very stubborn. Sorry) so then tell me... What should my gain an boost limit be... And also what quality should my music be I find that very very important aswell..

Sounds like a good plan. Should get you bumpin for now, sorta loud but once you get another amp.....it'll slam.

what do you recommend to power this ? taramps 5k? does like 6k at 1 ohm at 13.8 12.6 does 5000 ... idk i just need to know so i wont buy another memphis and save money for a good amp i am not trying to compete or anything just pound daily and make people heads turn lol ' funny or people who are infront of you in the car turn all the way to back to see wtf is going on haha
