difference between two receivers

I'm about to purchase either the pioneer elite av-59 or the av-79. I've been reading some home audio forums and a lot of folks praise the av-59 but the av-79 just came out (or is the newest available). So my question is, are there any major differences between the two? To keep up with the times do I need to go ahead and buy the av-79 or will I be kicking myself later for not upgrading?

buy the newer one. Trust me, newer technology always comes out for home a/v and yes you will kick yourself for not buying it. I am not sure what the differences are because i didnt look but my choice is to always have the newer technology.

oh shi*....I'm retarted. I didn't mean to say receiver I meant to say dvd player. God I don't know why I said receiver, sorry for that mis-understanding.
