Difference between triple, double, and single magnet Fi BTL?

IMO you would be much further off selling the old sub and buying the newer (and better) version.... rather then reconing the old sub....

Id say go for it...

But you might also try putting the 18 in a smaller box, maybe with some added mass, to see how it responds, first...
If he's having trouble with his current sub over heating with the power he's throwing at it, I agree. But if its running fine and he isn't planning on changing amps, Id still go the cheapest route and just recone what I had. Im thinking of DIY prices tho, if paying someone else to recone adds much to the price, it also just might end up being cheaper to sell his current sub and just buy the new one. *shrug*

Yea it dont seem like the sub overheats (I think) as it is right now. But yes I do plan on keeping the same amp. Right now im trying to trade with someone for the same triple slug fully loaded but in a 15. If that dont work ill just sell it and yea. Thanks guys
