What is a good compound to reaffix the dustcap to a sub?

Both the dustcap itself and the cone are that plastic type material.

You could try some 3m rubber adhesive or some 2 part epoxy that comes with a mixing tube. Home depot or walmart will have it

I'd just use some ca glue. It's always nice to have some on hand whether you're a speaker builder or not. Dustcaps, surrounds, spiders sometimes come loose. It's nice if you catch it early, glue it back snugly and avoid a larger problem and a possible recone.

well the dust cap does not affect perofrmance, but it is there to protect the coils for what else but dust lol, if too much gets in it can cause damage

Actually... losing the dust cap dramatically reduces thermal power handling.

god****it jake beat me to it,lol.

ALWAYS sand the edge that comes in contact with the cone. use e6000 or household goop works 10x better than ca glue for the dust cap...
