Just wondering if anyone knew the diff between Soundstream SPL subs with the Round dust cap and flat dust cap.

I assume the round dust cap is the older series, but I wasnt sure if there were any technical differences between the two.

thx in advance

SS produce two versions of the SPL subs. Round is SPL and the flat is called SPLN

Example: SPL10 and SPL10N. There were differences in construction material. SPL had treated paper, foam surrounds were as the SPLN had an Fiberous pulp, ployether surround. "N" series was the updated to the SPL line that came out in 1996. Now if one is better than the other, don't know never got into the SPL scene except for the SPL170/160. SPL170 was a very nice sub.

I think the "N" series came during or after the Epsilon Electronics takeover. I'll check and see.
