Difference between re sx and se models

Hey buddy, where in Atlanta are you?

And yes, the SE is more Sound Quality oriented, but they do provide a decent amount of output. The SX is SPL based but dont sound quite as clear as the SE's. If you're looking for a good sound and pretty good output, SE's is your option between the two - - - if you care more about loudness then the SX and about 1,000 rms is the better route.

^^ yea i did that i was asking personnaly what do you think the difference is sound wise. re audio can lie all day and you wouldnt be able to tell the difference.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif thanks for the suggestion though

Consider what you want out of the system. SE's tend to be more SQ oriented, SX's tend to be more oriented towards output. This is not to say one cannot be loud, or the other sound good, but you are asking for a comparison of the two.

Second, consider the power differences. Which fits you and your system best? Once you address these two points, you will have your answer.

i have a cadence txa-1000d right now so i think thatd be good for the 2 se's but i wouldnt be opposed to getting another 1000d to run 2 sx's. I want a loud and clean system...it gunna be going in a 4 door dodge ram so i think in tat little space the se's would be loud too. opinions? oh and i dont know whether im porting the box or not...it depends on the subs and cubic feet i get after the fiberglass boxes im making. should be between 1 and 1.5 cubes per chamber.

Your available air space tells me you need 2 re se 12's sealed.

You could do re se or sx 10's ported.

I went with SE 12's. I'd stay away from the SX's myself, they will take more

experience, research and work to make sound good in addition to loud.

Honestly there isn't a whole lot of a difference as far as the magnet is concerned... Honestly may be the same one exactly. but sx has 8 layer coil and se has 4 and suspension is optimized a little better for ported boxes I do believe. Tell ya though SE's in a good sized 4th order are CLEAN and LOUD

Do you plan on putting the box under the seat in the ram? You'll be limited to around 1 cube per sub after fiberglassing, there may be other subs that better suit your needs, look at the IDQV3

no they arent going under the seats. the box will start in the area between the center console and the backseat and go up and over the middle of the back seat. same concept as this video but minus the amp rack, and it will be fiberglass:

also sense the subs will be firing right into my ear basically do you think that will still sounds good. because when i had my yukon and open up the back door and listened to it standing in front of my subs it sounded nothing like what they did when i was in the driver seat. but im guessing because i was infact outside with nothing for the waves to bounce off of?
