Difference between 4 and 2 ohm

i got 0 gauge wire yellow top battery...ported box but it is to small it is way under sized would that make that much difference

and now we see a problem...put them in the right box, wire each sub at 2 ohms on those amps and they will pound

Yes, the box makes a HUGE difference, those subs should be getting at least 3.5-4 ft^3 each, build yourself a box and your problems will be solved

ya i figured the subs didnt have enough breathing room but didnt no it hurt it that much cause homie i tryin to bumpin hard and u guy have any good ideas on 6.5 that i could get for my durango cause i was leanin towards memphis msq's

Oh, and when you do build a decent be sure to tune your gain properly, turning it all the way up will give you some fried subs

cause i think both mine are 4 ohm and i got a 1000 zx running to each one turned all the way up and i feel i should b gettin more fom the amps

wire your subs down to 2 ohm, strap your amps and you u will see a difference.

By inducing massive clipping into the signal, clipping builds heat and heat causes coils and glue joints to fail

Also, are you using the bass boost?

All this assuming you wanna do 2 way and not 3 way, also what kind of amp do you have to run the comps?

Im telling you, those amps are perfect for those subs, your box is your problem, and the ZX-2500 won't be able to run your subs because with 2 D4 subs you get a final load of 1 ohm and the 2500 isn't stable there and will go into protect
